We are happy to provide care for children with additional needs and can work closely with parents and other professionals involved in the care of the child to ensure that their needs are being met.
Camau Bach is open Monday - Friday from 8am until 6pm. This excludes bank holidays and occasionally Christmas week - this depends on when Christmas falls and on the level of demand.
We offer three different types of session:
In the interest of your child we recommend that your child attend for a minimum of two half days a week.
Staffing here at Camau Bach strictly follows the guidelines set out by the CSSIW. Our manager is Rachel Dennis who has many years experience in childcare and our deputy manager is Liz Evans. In total we have a staff team of 10; our qualifications vary from NVQ levels 2 and 3 to Degree level.
At Camau Bach we believe that children develop and reach their full potential when they are properly supported and encouraged.
As you can see from our 'assessment policy' we want your child to feel as comfortable here as they are home we will meet with you when necessary to update this when necessary.
However, a week can be a long time in terms of a child's development they sometimes seem to do new things almost everyday! You are therefore encouraged to let us know about any new acheivement or progress, however big or small.
We would also like you to feel comfortable here, and value your views on all aspects of the service we are providing.
We will write a daily diary of what your child does each day in order for you to be as involved as possible. It will contain information like what they have eaten, if they've slept, and what they've been doing throughout their day etc. If there are any extra details you would like us to write please let us know. The diary comes in the form of a note book, and will come home with your child each day, we then expect you to send it in your child's bag.
Although we don't have a parent management committee, we really do want you to feel part of our nursery so that we can be true partners in the care of your child/ children.
In order to keep you up to date with events and other nursery goings on we often produce a newsletter, and posters will be displayed on the notice board.
